Question AMD Radeon Pro W5700 for mining ethereum

I am contemplating about buying this card because someone is offering this to me for a cheaper price here where I live. From my understanding, this card is just the "professional" / "workstation" equivalent of RX 5700 XT.

Any thoughts on this card? Has anyone here actually used this for mining? Does anyone know what the hashrate is? Can an unlocked BIOS be flashed on this GPU?

Briefly summarized

This version is currently flashed and when I want to use the new version of mimi_me then the error comes.

So there was 1 successful flash before from 102 to this version = VR1-1-RadeonProW5700-8G-Micron_GDDR6-113-D1880201-105.rom
(Did this with atiflash_293)

Only now I can not install the new bios that was provided yesterday.
M.AMD.W5700.v68.rom

I haven't tried the instructions from mimi_me yet because I want to know the memory manufacturer first. But I can't find a way to read it in GPU-Z.

And more Infos about my Cards but NO Memory Vendor (AIDA64 Screenshot)

The two BIOS Files have a different size (look at screenshot 3)

I have now done it via CMD (screenshot)

That has worked

Unfortunately the Wattman is still not unlocked.

Power consumption is significantly better than in STOCK.
and increased from 50 to 52MH/s

Hello, the VR1-1-RadeonProW5700-8G-Micron_GDDR6-113-D1880201-105.rom version was downloaded from my card, on HiveOS, through the builtin BIOS manager. The M.AMD.W5700.v68.rom (the unlocked version by Mini_Me of the above BIOS) loads without errors on the same system, and no different performance after reboot, power limiting works now (before only fan speed was working). I can't say other parameters are working yet. After I limit power to 70W, I can't put the power back up, the card stays at 70W, and 25MH/s only. I will test more later.

So thank you a lot Mini_Me, I hope to learn a bit more about the parameters and what they do. From my perception, eth is quite sensitive to memory latency and not so much to GPU speed, so we should get the best results lowering the GPU a bit and increasing memory, later I will test and post my findings.

Yes the flashing works and indeed I do that now always with the CMD version.

Meanwhile I am at deultich less watts and still 52 MH/s

70 watts is too little because you castrate the card.

I will still try to make a new BIOS mod where you get more out of the memories and with even lower GPU clock.

Allerdigs I noticed that over 910 (1820 MHz) memory clock the cards become unstable.
Maybe I have to go up with the voltage here

A lot of time has already been invested.

Apparently the RAM of the w5700 is not designed for more clock.

So 55 MH/s are probably not achievable with my w5700.

You can achieve 55 MH/s on any card,

Have you applied Apple Inc. optimized memory timings straps to both the Samsung and Micron in RedBiosEditor yet?

I have been using Mini_Me's 102 drivers so far, and with a little additional tweaking I have been able to stably produce 54.7 MH/s @ 97W. If you use the 102 firmware, my modifications were:

CORE VOLT 800 mV
VDDCI 800mV
MEMORY STATE VOLTAGE 1350mV
CORE 1380MHz
MEM 875MHz

Oh, I know this one.

I thought you created a different ROM because you use different settings.

MINI_ME has other values in its ROM.

Please post the MTP file or the ROM you created.

This has worked flawlessly for a week now on 15 cards. I take no credit for anything other fiddling with some numbers once MiniMe unlocked it.
