Volume flow (throughput) in m³h
The black bar is the specification from the data sheet, which we check with at this point. Let’s start with the value for m3 per hour, which is more common in Germany, and compare the individual installation variants from pure case fans to use on 60 mm radiators. You can see that the fan even exceeds the targets extremely clearly in the open setup and without radiators, almost catching up with the reference or even clearly surpassing it. On the radiators, the High Speed also easily keeps up with the reference. At low revs it can’t quite keep up with the reference then.
But we will see later that you have to see everything in relation to the noise development. And that’s where the new fans can really make a mark (spoiler). Such a comparison is therefore extremely important, and it is precisely for this reason that we will evaluate the rotational speeds in relation to the sound level and the volume flow achieved at the end (and discover some astonishing things). So it remains quite exciting, because speed is not equal to speed!
Volume flow (throughput) in cfm
The whole thing again in cfm. However, since only the unit of measurement changes, what has already been said for the airflow applies to the same extent.
