Color-Performance, Brightness Comparison and Power Consumption
With the default performance, the Dell AW2725DF ranks pretty low in terms of color accuracy. Of course, this should not be overestimated, as the sRGB mode is one of the best I have seen so far. In terms of maximum brightness in SDR, the AW2725DF can’t quite deliver the 250 nits. From my point of view, this is not a problem, as I only let my OLED shine on my eyes at 160 nits – which is more than enough. With a minimum brightness of 18 nits, the AW2725DF is quite dark, but if you like that, you will certainly be happy with it. Fortunately, the AW2725DF doesn’t have an annoying ABL!

Power Consumption
Dell states a power consumption of up to 130 watts. I wonder how that’s possible? I would almost describe this monitor as an energy-saver. Even in HDR, you won’t get above 40 watts on average. In the worst case, the AW2725DF draws 80 watts from the socket, you have to know that. That’s why you don’t watch Excel or white test patterns all day!
