First of all, the disk could not be found at all, not even in Windows Disk Management. You then need an external, specialized program to at least list the SSD as such and “repair” it by repartitioning it. No matter which software was used, a maximum of 1 TB could be accessed despite a volume size of 2 TB being displayed, i.e. 981 GB net in this case. It doesn’t matter whether NTFS or FAT32 for the older Playstation, all attempts to squeeze out a bit more in the end failed grandiosely with or without a longer attempt.
By the way, the identifier refers to an SDSSDA-2T00, which is also available as a 2 TB variant starting at 144 Euros. This SanDisk SSD is a SATA3 SSD with 6Gb/s and SLC cache, so we’ll just keep that in mind. Because I’ll get to the controller in a minute. So please be a little patient.
