Testing the Sharkoon Rebel C50 – how much hardware fits into a case for around 100 euros?

Summary

Today we took a really detailed look at the Sharkoon Rebel C50. On the one hand, we could see that the Rebel C50 easily copes with standard PC hardware. If you really take it to the extreme, you can also install a custom water cooling system. Yes, it’s expensive, but not only does it look much better, everything stays cooler and, above all, quieter!

The two cases I tested each had four 120 mm aRGB fans pre-installed, a tampered glass pane and are fitted with mesh all the way round. The workmanship is very good and you don’t need any tools to remove the front or side panels and don’t have to screw anything with your fingers. You just click it in and you’re done. The interior is very modular: You can remove the front PSU bay, you have a GPU support, a removable cable cover, space for lots of radiators (AiOs) up to 360 mm etc.

As Sharkoon unfortunately installs black cables and black fans in the white Rebel C50, everyone has to decide for themselves whether this suits them or not – you can remove them. I also have to rate the fact that you can see the cables from the power supply unit when installing a 360 mm radiator on the back. I deduct a few points from Sharkoon’s B grade for this. Sharkoon has already received the feedback from me. I’m curious to see if there will be a cover for it in the accessories in the future.

I’ve already rated the other components in the relevant section, so I don’t need to repeat that here.

Conclusion

The Sharkoon Rebel C50 (with aRGB fans and glass panel) currently has a street price of around 100 euros. Considering everything that fits into it and everything that is supplied ex works, I can only take my hat off. I can give it a clear recommendation to buy.

The price-performance ratio is really very good – you can’t go wrong. Sharkoon has once again delivered. I don’t have to say much more at this point. Now I’m interested in your opinion on the case and of course on all the other topics – see you in the forum…

The Sharkoon Rebel C50 Black and White, the NZXT N7 B650E, the Seasonic Focus GX-1000, the Kingston Fury Beast and the Alphacool parts were provided to me by the named manufacturers without obligation – for testing purposes. There was no influence on the tests and results. There was also no compensation for expenses and no obligation to publish by Sharkoon or anyone else. The remaining (not mentioned) components are mainly from my private or Igor’s test stock.
