Testing the Sharkoon Rebel C50 – how much hardware fits into a case for around 100 euros?

Kingston Fury Beast

Originally, Kingston was not even planned as a RAM. As I mentioned at the beginning, Igor had already supported me for the project with a CPU and TeamForce Ram – after NZXT jumped on the bandwagon with the N7 B650E. A few days later, Kingston approached me and sent me a ram kit for the project. I assume that NZXT approached Kingston here.

They will have guessed that I don’t have a white Ram kit. Neither Igor nor I actively approached any ram manufacturer. Visually, you can also use black ram, as you will see later. So much for the back story.

I strongly assume that most of you know Kingston and when it comes to good and cheap memory, Kingston is on the short list. At least that’s almost always the case for me. For example, I have used Kingston NV2 in many private PC projects (I don’t publish everything). Kingston has already been used as RAM (DDR4), so why not for this project?

Somehow RAM is totally unspectacular, even though it is so important in the end. Most people know very well that not all RAM is the same! On the one hand, we have MHz, which, especially with AMD CPUs, cannot go to the maximum-perverse. Here you have to pay attention to the Infinity Fabric (the CPU’s ram controller). More than 6000 MHz does not ultimately lead to more, but can lead to less performance or instability. The next thing to look at is the timings. The Kingston Fury Beast’s CL30-36-36-80 – for DDR5 RAM – is quite low. This can be particularly noticeable when gaming.

Visually, the white kit naturally fits very well in a white build. The performance data is also good and ultimately rounds off the overall picture. The Kingston Fury Beast 32 GB kit (white) is currently priced at around 123 euros, which is roughly the same price as its competitors with comparable specifications. It can therefore at least be said that Kingston is at the forefront in terms of price/performance. You’ll see everything else later. Let’s continue…
