Performance Intel LGA1700 – 13900KF
Testing in socket LGA1700 with an Intel Core i9 13900KF statically overclocked to 5.4 GHz on the P-cores, 4.4 GHz on the E-cores and 4.9 GHz on the cache with static voltage, so that the CPU generates a fairly stable 300 W waste heat in the P95 with in-place FFT Size 200. The block is mounted twice per platform. For each assembly, a 30-minute burn-in takes place first and then 2 test runs of 15 minutes each, first with 2 D5 pumps and thus high flow rate and then with 1 D5 pump and low flow rate.
The Core 1 LT is around 1 K behind the normal Core 1 and around 4 K behind the best combination, the Aquacomputer cuplex kryos NEXT with the Watercool Heavy Backplate. Other cheaper blocks, such as the Corsair XC7 Pro and Elite, can be trailed by around 5 K.
The difference between the hottest and coolest P-core on average is also completely within limits, as you might have guessed from the even WLP imprint.
In terms of flow, the Core 1 LT is slightly less restrictive than the Core 1, probably due to the larger inlet fitting and less restrictive internal structures. Nevertheless, the LT is still more restrictive than all other water blocks – Core 1 blocks eat up flow.
This is also reflected in the differential pressure, measured by 2 D5 pumps. While the normal Core 1 loses almost 100 mBar of pressure and the flow rate is reduced to 187.4 l/h, the Core 1 LT only loses 81.4 mBar and 200.3 l/h. The LT version therefore slows down the water circuit less, but also performs slightly worse.
I didn’t want to withhold the metric of the temperature delta between the inlet and outlet side of the water circuit from you. However, the significance of the diagram remains limited and therefore you will probably see it for the last time today (for the time being). With more precise measuring devices, a more constant polling interval and a static water temperature, the metric would perhaps be more accurate or better match the core temperatures.
