Unboxing
This part turns out to be a bit more compact, because there is simply not much to see with such small devices. The small outer box is bright and simple:
Inside, well protected by foam, are the charging station with the Earbuds inside and a small box with the accessories:
In terms of accessories, in addition to the short USB-C charging cable, there are two more sets of “ear pads” so there are a total of three different sizes included, as well as an instruction manual:
Opening the charging cradle also activates the Earbuds:
Both earpieces have a small blue LED that indicates mating readiness (nice word):
The contacts for charging the batteries in detail:
Of course, the headphones were fully charged once before the first use. On the picture you can already see the second pair of SoundPeats, which will be tested in the course of time:
Basically, I was already positively surprised by the feel and the processing quality when unpacking. For 40€ this is definitely more than ok. However, what I already noticed after the first “field use”: Together with a bunch of keys in the same trouser pocket, it quickly comes to small scratches on the matt surface of the charging box. Well, collateral damage. It happens in handbags, too, by the way.
The wearing comfort corresponds to that of an in-ear headphone with a matching ear pad. The light weight and the lack of a cable make them very comfortable to wear, and the Earbuds sit comfortably and securely even when walking around and looking around. Unfortunately, because of the bad weather, I couldn’t test them while cycling as planned, but as well as they fit, I assume that shouldn’t be a problem.
