Let’s now move on to a direct comparison with some other SSDs in the real life of a workstation. The following benchmarks show very clearly that the SSD can keep up very well with the HP FX9000 Pro 1TB and also the MSI SPATIUM 480 2TB and is even clearly ahead in some applications. The write performance is on a constantly high level, while Handbrake suddenly ignites the data turbo. This is a really solid performance compared to nominally even faster data carriers. Well, theory and practice.
Reading is very similar and Handbrake is also the absolute breaker here with almost 1000 points.
Yes, the performance is completely sufficient to excellent, depending on the application. On the other hand, there is no total failure anywhere. But, even compared to the rest, you really have to consider whether you really feel it subjectively and whether it really increases productivity in the individual case and is worth the extra charge.
Summary and conclusion
The SSD delivers a solid performance within the performance class, which is not diminished by prolonged use, on the contrary. The somewhat later test after the actual release offers a certain added value in terms of information, whether the promised performance values are really still correct. However, there are no real performance drops and so it is rather superfluous little things that annoy us a bit. You can really feel free to leave out the cooler, that’s not the problem. But such a small screw for fastening really does not kill anyone.
Conversely, one can of course state that nothing else has been found. Okay, that’s true again. The only annoying thing is the adhesive labels, which have a negative impact on the cooling, but must not be removed due to the warranty. However, this actually affects all manufacturers equally and should be urgently reconsidered. Even though the SSD is well below the maximum allowable 7 watts for this form factor, it does get warm. Nothing works without cooling, except maybe crooked.
The test sample was provided without obligation. There was and is no influence on the tests and results. There was also no compensation for expenses and no obligation to publish.
