Software
One interesting feature is the ability to control the Mono X with your smartphone via the Anycubic Remote Control app. For this purpose, the Mono X has a WLAN antenna in the upper right corner.
This allows you to actively intervene in the current printing process and also monitor it, even the remaining time can be viewed here. Unfortunately, we cannot transfer print models to the Mono X directly via the app, because then the app would certainly have an absolute added value. However, a prerequisite for this would be an integrated memory in the Mono X, which at this point makes me hope that next generations will finally have just such a feature.
So how do we edit – or in technical jargon – slice our models and get them to the printer? Anycubic offers a slicer software called Photon Workshop 64 on the included USB stick. A wide variety of settings can be made in this software. To enumerate all this now, it would go beyond the scope and therefore only go into the most important things.
In Photon Workshop 64, a wide variety of settings can be made, such as scaling the models, hollowing them out and, in advance, also setting the exposure times and the speed of the process and the arrangement of the support structure.
Alternative programs can also be used like Chitubox 64 or Lychee Slicer, just as you like.
Each model has its very own premises and must be set individually. Fortunately, the software supports us in such a way that even beginners can intuitively cope with this software. By the way, one of the most important functions is the support structure arrangement, which filigree models with overhangs require. Support structures are needed so that, for example, arms and legs do not float around loosely in the tank but form a firm connection with the pressure sheet.
