The average noise development is not high by the standards of this category.
Fan noise and speed measurements @ 28-32 °C at 230 and 115 volts
The passive operation of the fan lasts long enough if the maximum combined load on the side rails is not driven above 65W. The 30 dBA mark is exceeded at around 690 W and lasts up to 1010 W, where the power supply’s fan quickly increases its noise to over 40 dBA. The optimum range for low noise development is below 690 W at 12 V and below 65 W on the secondary rails. And this at normal operating temperatures of 28-32 °C inside the housing.
