Since our readers have repeatedly requested the tests as push, pull and push-pull variants, we simply combine today’s re-test of an upper-class fan with this request. Just under 28 euros is certainly not cheap, but still significantly cheaper than an ARGB fan from other premium brands. Blacknoise advertises the Noiseblocker BP12x-P-BL PWM ARGB as a particularly quiet running bionic fan, which relies on the proven rotor blade design and a magnetic barometric bearing.
If you have a kind of déjà vu now, you are not deceived, because we have already tested exactly this model, but with a white frame. The manufacturer has already corrected the errors found there in the technical data and has meanwhile also exchanged our faulty test sample. Reason enough to expand the test a bit today!
On the next page you can see once again how and what we test and especially why. Understanding the details is extremely important in order to be able to objectively classify the results later. The differences between many models are more in the details and THE best fan for all situations can hardly exist. There is a certain optimum in every situation and of course there are also good all-rounders. But they usually come at a price.
The BL in the name stands for Black Edition and therefore today there is also a black frame with excellent decoupling. The whole rotor is not white, but transparent and is illuminated from inside the hub. The ARGB control is compatible to all motherboards with 5V ARGB header, no matter what the manufacturer calls it now. 120000 hours MTBF is also a certain security and self-confident statement.
These fans are in the range of 27 to 30 euros per piece street price of course in the upper class. Whether money also aerates and deaerates well, we’ll see today. After the test you’re always smarter anyway and we can also already spoil that this sample runs much better than the defective test sample from the first comparison, especially without noise.
