I also picked Shadow of the Tomb Raider not by accident, but on purpose. Because in the first test with Windows 11, the drop compared to Windows 10 was already quite clear. So it’s all the better that Windows 11 is already razor thin in front after the L3 patch. Let’s look at the details, of course.
The FPS curve is also clear, as it mirrors the results from the bar chart well and everything turns out very similar in the course as well.
In the percentile curve, we see that the unpatched Windows 11 is again behind, but in the 99.9% range it is back on par with the patched version.
We can also see this in the percentage evaluation of the frame times, where both Windows 11 variants are suddenly ahead.
However, the whole truth is only seen in the variances, where Windows 10 is a very small tick ahead of the patched Windows 11 version. But only marginally, while the difference to Windows 11 without patch is more visible.
But again, it’s interesting that the drop (even reproducibly) only occurred on Windows 10. Ergo, Windows 11 with L3 patch is at least equal as far as image progression is concerned.
