The settings in the game
For today's game, I chose Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy. The display settings here are representative for all other games! Important is, please make the NIS settings first, before you start the game, otherwise it won't work later. Now that we've followed the sequence, we can look at the settings!
We remember that we left the resolution of the monitor (desktop resolution) at 1440p. In the game we now set the resolution to that of the selected pre-set. In my case 1969 x 1108 pixels. If you have checked the overlay indicator, you will see a NIS in green or blue in the upper left corner of the screen.
Green = Upscaling and sharpening active
Blue = Sharpening only active
Pretty simple, actually! Even if the way to get there sounds complicated now. Once you have set the settings in the Control Panel or GeForce Experience, they are global and must be disabled if necessary. Whereby in case of doubt only the "Sharpen" is active as long as you have not adjusted the game resolution. Now we have also the essential innovation concerning NIS in comparison to before. The settings in the driver are global, changeable via GeForce Experience and in the game you can virtually "re-season" the sharpness! (Press ALT+F3 in game)
So far so good, I hope that came across understandable? Should fit though! Let's take a look at the performance. Turn the page!
