In terms of performance, the new Vengeance RGB RT modules aren’t quite fast enough for first place, but no one should really expect that. It is all the more pleasing that with a little tuning it is even possible in some cases to close the gap to the high-end B-Die control pattern. And even in cases where a disadvantage for the Corsair kit remains, the gap is never large and often even negligible.
Samsung C-Die with its loose primary timings and low voltage tolerance is not really known for its overclocking potential as specifically advertised by Corsair. The performance of the memory is completely sufficient for Ryzen systems in 1:1 mode and there is still some room for improvement to the FCLK limit, but I would refrain from OC marketing for this kit in Corsair’s place, also to possibly avoid one or the other customer’s disappointment.
The design and lighting of the Corsair DIMMs is a real feast for the eyes, drawing out even hardware purists and RGB reservists like myself. At the same time, the heatsink works surprisingly well and is simple enough to fit into the design language of most systems. Here Corsair has really done a great job and sets a new benchmark for the market.
If you now put all this, together with a dual-rank topology and 32 GB total capacity, on the scale and on the other side a retail price of about 175 euros stands, this is a really positive surprise. Sure, you can get more performance for up to twice the purchase price with other kits, but for those who shop wisely and consider value for money, the Corsair Vengeance RGB RT is an impressive new option when it comes to memory choices.
The RAM kit was provided by Corsair without any obligations. Moreover, no influence was exerted on the tests and their results.
