As Microsoft announced at its Xbox Games Showcase 2024, it will be launching a new series of consoles on the market, the so-called “Xbox Series X All-Digital Console”, which will be available to customers without a DVD drive. Is this really such a good idea? In the end, it will be the customer who will raise or lower their thumbs. Unfortunately, almost nothing works without the Internet any more.
In fact, few people are surprised by this announcement, as several leaks had already been made beforehand. But now an official announcement has been made by Microsoft. As the name suggests, these are consoles that do not have an integrated drive and do not offer this as an option. As you still want to have as many games as possible at the same time due to this missing option and not have to constantly uninstall something to play it, the memory is 1 TB in size and should be able to accommodate quite a few games.
The whole thing will be launched on the market as the Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X, but only in snow-white. However, their portfolio is also being expanded with the Special Edition Xbox Series X. This new special edition of the Xbox Series X is said to offer the same speed, performance and features of the Xbox Series X, but with twice as much storage space and a unique design. According to Microsoft, the special edition console in Galaxy Black is inspired by constellations and the spirit of exploration and adventure in space, featuring a silver, gray and green sky effect that represents thousands of games and millions of gamers playing on Xbox.
The Xbox Series S will cost 349.99 euros, while the Xbox Series X is listed at 449.99 euros. You will have to dig a little deeper into your pockets for the special edition, which will cost 599.99 euros. However, it remains to be seen when these consoles will be released. However, this will happen in the course of this year.
