Battery life
Yes, you can also benchmark something like that in the meantime. You can also use the classic stopwatch and run YouTube. But well. I tested out of the box, without any special settings like silent mode, etc.
So two maximum three YT videos from Igor – could work in battery mode. After all! I’ll come back to battery gaming later.
SSD performance
I tested the Samsung SSD in the 3DMark SSD benchmark:
As well as in Cristaldiskmark:
The Samsung SSD does a very good job and should also be sufficient – measured in terms of size. You can still add a second SSD.
CPU performance
As always, the Cinebench R23: (even though I personally don’t like it)
And the 3DMark CPU profile benchmark should suffice:
You can also render something with the Intel Core i9-1200HX. It already pushes a lot of power through the socket. I don’t even use the iGPU, that’s totally silly. The MSI Raider comes with NVIDIA Amps after all.
GPU performance
The installed RTX 3080 Ti (mobile) is – measured by the shaders – between an RTX 3070 Ti (desktop) and an RTX 3080 (desktop). If you then add the reduced power consumption to the equation, you will probably end up on the level of the RTX 3070 Ti – maybe RTX 3070 as well (depending on the game).
The RTX 3080 Ti (notebook) is capable of something. You can compare it with your desktop GPUs. The question is: Is that enough for 240 Hz? We’ll see in a moment…
