Let’s now add supersampling in Ultra HD in the form of FSR and DLSS. Even if AMD has at least been able to catch up with FSR3 in some areas in the meantime, DLSS 3.5 (currently still) remains the measure of all things. Because image quality cannot be compressed into bars. But as I said, FSR3 leaves a much better impression than FSR2.
Sum of all games
Of course, I also normalized the FPS and percentiles here and formed a geometric mean (geomean) because this is simply more accurate from a statistical point of view and is also used in the industry. We can already see in the FPS that the increased tensor cores of the Super card and the slightly higher power limit are the main drivers.
Here too, the old RTX 4070 Ti Non-Super doesn’t stand a chance, as the RTX 4070 Ti Super is again well ahead by a large percentage, similar to WQHD. And we can see from the Radeon RX 7900XT that NVIDIA simply had to react. There is no more than a perceived tie here, even though DLSS usually looks better than FSR.
The two RTX 4070 variants are also 6 percent apart in P1, i.e. the Min FPS, which was to be expected. However, the RX 7900XT with FSR loses some ground here compared to the GeForce and comes in between the two RTX 4070 Ti variants.
With DLSS and the fully working Tensor Cores, the power consumption increases slightly again by just under 5 watts. However, the Super is still well below the set limit on average for all relevant games. The efficiency of the Super card is also significantly better.
