Is it worthy enough? Asgard introduces its new THOR DDR5 CUDIMM memory

The company Asgard has presented its new RAM, the THOR DDR5 CUDIMM memory, which bears the name Thor to match the brand, but is also intended to impress with its lightning-fast speed, in the style of the Norse deity. Of course, one has to ask where the hammer hangs.

But what does this new RAM offer that should be attractive to customers? It offers a clock rate of up to 9600 MHz, which should enable an improved overclocking experience. According to Asgard, this is the world’s first DDR5 9600 MHz CUDIMM memory. But with this announcement, the company is already taking a further step in the background. They are already planning the next generation of RAM with a speed of up to 10,000 MHz. However, it will be a while before this is launched on the market or new announcements are made. Let’s get back to the 9600 MHz variant. Here you can choose between the colors night black and flash silver. Hammer blue, on the other hand, is not available.

Compared to the current 9200 MHz models on the market, the 9600 MHz version is said to be significantly superior in tests. This means faster data processing, better system response times and overall better performance. The target group is users in high-performance computing who are looking for maximum performance. Customers can choose between two colors.

The memory is based on the traditional UDIMM and all modules are equipped with clock drivers (CKD). This is intended to solve the problem of clock signal transmission between CPU and DRAM and enable stable maximum frequencies. As higher clock rates also generate more heat, Asgard has developed a special memory cooling vest that efficiently dissipates the heat. This ensures that the memory remains stable and durable even during long periods of operation. The memory also supports the XMP overclocking function. Users can automatically increase the frequency to 9600 MHz while maintaining a low voltage of 1.5 V to reduce energy consumption and heat generation.

The company has not provided any further information. This means that neither price, size nor release date are known. So it remains to be seen when it will be announced.

'Niedrige Spannung' bei 1.5V. Bei DDR5.
Läuft...

(Ob der Heatspreader auch mit Hammerschlaglackierung zu bekommen ist...?)

Irgendwie haste recht, aber wenn ich bedanke dass wir schon bei nicht mal 8000MT bei 1,4V sind, klingen 1,5 doch wieder recht wenig bei 9600.
In welchen Szhenario das was bringt? Anwenderboards gibts ja nicht btw. fast nicht, die IMC packen das so oder so nicht.
