Stress test and benchmarks
I overclocked the installed Intel i7 5960X processor to a moderate 4.0 Ghz, the graphics card is set to factory settings. For direct comparison, I also ran one run as an open setup for each test. The AiO pump was set to 100% speed, the radiator fans to 75%, the graphics card to 50% and the case fans to 50%.
We start with the tried and true Prime95. The graphics card only has to output an image signal in this test and is otherwise not challenged.
This then changes to the exact opposite when MSI Kombustor is run, now only the graphics card is under significant load.
And last but not least, CPU stress test on half of the cores and load by MSI Kombustor at the same time,
As you can see, the course of the CPU temperature is quite unimpressed, whether with or without a case. On the other hand, a tendency can be seen with the graphics card, but the results are still completely within the bounds in my opinion.
Alte Hardware neu getestet: Sockel 2011-3 – Pure Nostalgie oder doch noch ein Blick wert?
A while ago, I did a more detailed review on the topic of the X99, where you can also find more benchmarks and a comparison to a Ryzen 5 and Xeon.
Here are a few more results from this system.
