Let’s start with the conversion. Somehow, I still had to stay online, at least to a necessary minimum. The meeting room and laptop are enough for a week, even if it is a bit annoying. I was still surprised when it came to clearing out and sorting the technology as well as the obligatory basic and fine cleaning. Even when you remove a table like this, complete with containers and stuff – I had at least imagined there would be a bit more fluff. But sometimes you find things that you don’t even know existed or still exist. What you don’t miss can actually go.
To avoid having to put all the technology on the floor, I assembled one of the new desks in advance and then moved it back and forth. The heating was also an issue in its own right, because now I could finally get at it freely again and remove some of the huge chunks of dust from the inside. Even in the far corner it was cleaner than I thought, but it still wasn’t particularly nice. Logical.
Gaming wasn’t possible this week either. Firstly, I was offline there anyway due to the lack of network infrastructure and my gaming table was also full of stuff that I didn’t want to leave on the floor. And yes, in the end you couldn’t even see the glass plate. And I didn’t have any time anyway.
As I also wanted to completely rewire the new desks (including the desired cable management), a lot of multiple plug connectors fell by the wayside. The picture below shows some of them as a result of disposing of just two desks and a smaller chest of drawers. And goodbye…
