In order to be able to work even more efficiently and also to concentrate certain things more in terms of content and space, I have planned my new office, which should be a writing and administration hotspot, benchmark workstation, material analysis, microscopy, audio and gaming corner at the same time. A few pieces of furniture, including custom-fit cabinets, are still missing, but even up to this point it has been quite a feat of planning and implementation. Having everything made to measure is a financial impossibility, because I’m not a Croesus. And what you can buy in Germany as a standard grid size almost never fits straight away. Either you give away at least half a meter or you end up missing a few ridiculous centimetres, in which case it won’t even fit with a sledgehammer.
I’m going to let more pictures than text do the talking today, as this replaces the usual series of pictures and also allows me to share a little of my suffering. Nothing against physical work, but there are limits, you don’t get any younger…
