Conclusion
Overall, I have to admit that the Ducky ONE 2 Skyline surprised me quite a bit. The color scheme including the allusion to the iconic Space Cadet keyboard and the overall pretty “nerdy” look totally picked me up. The extensive customization options with countless keycaps and colored cables already give a bit of a “hacker feeling”, which definitely makes up for the non-existent lighting, at least for me.
Sure, the missing palm rest, the not quite cleanly manufactured keycaps and the somewhat complicated configuration might deceive the overall picture a bit, but beyond that, you can’t deny the Ducky’s solid build and well-rounded overall package.
The ONE 2 in full-size format is available in various color versions and with almost all current versions of Cherry MX switches for 129.90€. That is still a lot of money, but definitely justifiable considering the performance offered. If you can do without the illumination, you can save a few Euros here, because you will definitely pay a bit more for similarly well-made illuminated models in the end. In any case, the keyboard surprised me extremely positively and I think it will probably stay on my desk for a while, even though I have various illuminated keyboards in my cupboard.
Recommendation for nerds!
