Color-Performance and Brightness Comparison
Since the GP27U defaults to the Rec. 2020 color space, it can’t do well in the comparison. If you look at the gray scale performance, it is right in front. But since it is not limited to the sRGB color space, the rates in ColorChecker and Saturation look correspondingly bad. What the GP27U can do – get damn bright. Almost 600 nits in SDR are a claim!

The minimum brightness of 70 nits is sufficient. If you want it even darker, you have to put a blanket over the panel – fun. On the next page I’ll show you how easy it is to adjust the GP27U with a white point correction.
