Pixel response times vs. overshoot @ max. refresh rate
Cooler Master has given the GP27U quite a bit in terms of overdrive setting selection. And we’ll see which overdrive is the most suitable in a moment.
Overdrive settings OD off
Overdrive-Settings OD Normal
Overdrive-Settings OD Advanced
Overdrive-Settings OD Dynamic
Overdrive-Settings OD Ultra Fast
Overdrive off is obviously a bit too slow for the 160 Hz, Ultra Fast is horror regarding overshoot and Dynamic or Advanced is almost the same in the end. So I’ll take a closer look at Normal and Advanced regarding Single Overdrive. I can already tell you: Cooler Master did not give the GP27U a variable overdrive on its journey to the customer. You’ll see that in a moment!
