Structure
The assembly is simple and fast from the hand. If you don’t have two left thumbs and maybe even a helping hand, it’s done in less than half an hour.
In the first step I mounted the feet. These are simply inserted into the openings provided and snap into place without much effort.
Once this is done, the pre-assembled base can be turned over to mount the rocker mechanism. Four thick screws hold the mechanics securely, though I had slight concerns at this point. The model used seems quite plain and not as solid as I expected for a chair for almost 400€. In addition, it is also not possible to fix a tilt angle, but only to open (tilt) or close (not tilt) the mechanism. On the other hand, the idea of thick felt pads that will permanently prevent squeaking noises is nice.
The next step is to insert the gas spring into the rocker mechanism. Make sure that the dust cap is threaded in beforehand – once the gas spring is really tight, it can only be removed with heavy tools.
Once the gas pressure spring and dust cap have been inserted, the base is simply slipped over it.
Press lightly, then the whole construct can be carefully turned over again.
Mounting the backrest is a bit fiddly. Ideally, you should get a helping hand so that you can hold the backrest, align the hinges and insert the screws at the same time.
In the last step, the hinges are still provided with plastic covers.
