Processing and mobility
The workmanship is very good, there is nothing to complain about. The XL2566K also offers everything you need in terms of ergonomics. Panning, tilting, height adjustment and portrait format are possible. Vesa mounting is feasible. In addition, the XL2566K offers a fold-out headset holder on the back and “blinders” that can be mounted on the side.
I would have a suggestion for improvement on this. From my point of view, the mounting of the “blinders” is solved a bit clumsy or fiddly. A magnetic fixation would be better – at least in my opinion. The fact is, you get it fumbled and the blinders fulfill their purpose.
Connectors, cables and accessories
Everything you need is included in the delivery. In addition, there is a handle on top of the stand, which makes it easy to transport the monitor. In this case, pictures say more than a thousand words!
What BenQ also includes is the S-Switch. You can save up to three different OSD settings on the S-Switch and use it as a “remote control” for the OSD. So if you have such a monitor at home, you can set your settings (AMA, DyAc, brightness etc.) for Valorant, the same for CS:GO. Then you take your S-Switch to the tournament and plug it into the monitor provided there and you have your settings. Without having to click around in the OSD forever. Very nice!
OSD
The OSD is typical BenQ, that’s how I would describe it. What the monitor does not offer are the usual gaming features (crosshairs, scope mode, etc.). There is a reason for that, because BenQ provides the monitors for most eSports events. And features like crosshairs most likely fall into the cheating category. Therefore, I can understand the abandonment.
However, let’s now look at the essentials: Response Times and Latencies.
