Summary
The ASUS ROG Falchion RX Low Profile offers excellent build quality, a very good feature set and all kinds of connectivity. The ASUS ROG RX keyboards offer a combination of speed, precision and durability, which is particularly noticeable when it comes to latency – blazing fast.
Thanks to their sturdy construction and innovative optical mechanics, the keys are an excellent choice for those who value an outstanding typing experience. The sound of the Falchion RX Low Profile is by far the best I’ve ever heard from a pre-built keyboard. Added to this is the extremely fast wake-up behavior from sleep mode. One keystroke is enough and this is then immediately displayed in Word, for example. I have never tested a wireless keyboard so quickly.
Conclusion
The ASUS ROG Falchion RX Low Profile is an impressive example of a compact gaming keyboard that does not compromise on performance despite its reduced size. Particularly noteworthy is the wireless design, which, in combination with the excellent battery life, ensures maximum flexibility. The versatile functions, such as the side touch panel, round off the overall package and make the ROG Falchion RX Low Profile an outstanding choice for gamers who value mobility, performance and style.
Thanks to the RX Low Profile buttons and the extremely good dongle, it offers extremely low latencies both with and without a cable, which has earned ASUS the top spot in the latency charts for the time being. The very close spacing between the keys takes some getting used to. However, I couldn’t find any real weaknesses or shortcomings even after more than two months. The battery was charged after unpacking and exactly once in the meantime. Current battery level (27.08.) still 50 percent. The thing really lasts a long time.
The only downside is the price, as you currently have to pay around 160 euros for the ASUS ROG Falchion RX Low Profile. This is a surcharge of 70 euros compared to the Sharkoon PureWriter W65. In terms of technology and features, the Falchion is significantly better. It also sounds much better and offers an enormous latency advantage. In principle, I can recommend the ASUS ROG Falchion RX Low Profile as a purchase. But in the end, everyone has to decide for themselves whether the 70 euro surcharge is justified.
The keyboard was provided to me by ASUS ROG without obligation – for testing purposes. There was no influence on the tests and results. There was also no compensation for expenses and no obligation to publish by ASUS or anyone else.
