The advanced graphics mode for Solidworks 2019 is designed to take advantage of modern graphics adapters to achieve even better performance. It is still optional in Solidworks 2019, but is expected to become the default graphics mode in future versions. Apart from that, the test content is the same, but we will see differences in the results of the different graphics cards. Because one thing is also certain: nothing would be optimized for mere benchmarks!
And that’s exactly what’s now hitting all cards more or less clearly, because the differences have become much bigger. It also shows, however, that AMD’s driver team should still have a lot of work on the table, also with regard to the 2020 version, because the W5700 only ends up in the midfield.
AMD Radeon PRO W5700, 8GB GDDR6, 5x mDP, USB-C (100-506085)
