1440p – native resolution in generation comparison
The WQHD resolution is currently the best mix of performance and image quality for me. Meanwhile, the GPU power is available for more than 144 Hz and with DLSS or FSR you can also manage more than 200 FPS. And if the quality still fits, then I say: let’s go!
Except for the two GPU retirees, it’s totally ok! There are supposed to be gamers for whom a constant 30 FPS is completely sufficient. Starting with the RX 5700 XT, you don’t even need the help of upscaling. That’s my opinion! Let’s see what the rest of the data reveals.
