Average noise development
The average noise level is high considering its capacity. However, it should also be noted that the efficiency of the platform is not very high, which increases the thermal load; the fan therefore has to work harder to dissipate the heat.
Fan noise and speed measurements @ 28-32 °C
(115 V) There is no semi-passive operation, and the fan starts at high speeds, over 1000 rpm, so the noise is within 20-25 dBA from the start. At around 350 W at 12 V the 30 dBA mark is exceeded, and at more than 405 W the noise exceeds 35 dBA. Even in the most unfavorable case, the noise level is in the range of 35-40 dBA.
