Unraid – Part 1
If the LincStation is connected to the network, the WebGUI can be called up a short time later under tower.local.
By the way, if you just want to try out Unraid, you don’t have to buy it straight away.
The unlimited 30-day trial version gives you enough time to try everything out.
My copy here was delivered with version 6.12.10, which is from April 2024.
And because Alexander recently showed you a bit of his new Unraid setup, I wanted to show you something newer. By the way, you can take another look at it here:

So today I’m gathering my first experiences with the very fresh beta of Unraid version 7!
One reboot later and I’m prompted to assign the two 2.5″ SATA and one NVMe SSD in the array.
For testing purposes, I decided to use the SATA SSDs for data and the M.2 SSD for parity.
During the array calculation, the CPU load was at least 25-30%.
A little later, however, everything is ready.
So let’s take a first look at the dashboard.
And to ensure that everything is correct, the image of the system must of course also be adjusted. Thanks to the official collaboration, Unraid even provides the right model.
The tour can then begin; the network shares and associated authorizations can be adjusted in Shares.
There is also a dedicated user administration.
Various fine-tuning options are available in the settings.
