1st place – Cooler Master CryoFuze 7
This paste is currently the best paste from Cooler Master, although prices and availability vary greatly. With just under 4.6 W/m-K real bulk thermal conductivity, it is almost on a par with the best pastes in the test so far and doesn’t have to hide when it comes to handling, although the rather highly filled paste is already slightly viscous. If you warm it up a little before applying it or apply it in a honeycomb shape using an applicator, it is easy to handle. If this paste were available across the board and cheaper, it could be recommended with a clear conscience. The fact that it is a little more viscous can also be seen from the step-like gradations of the leaked paste, which reflect my measuring steps (BLT).
2nd place – Cooler Master MasterGel Maker v2
In the end, it is a slightly diluted CryoFuze 7, which is also somewhat easier to work with. The paste is somewhat smoother when applied, even if the tube with the wide outlet opening is rather impractical. Certainly well thought out, but in practice this is rather nonsense. The user can live well with the real 3.9 W/m-K. If the price and availability are right, you can certainly live with it.
3rd place – Cooler Master MasterGel Pro v2
This paste is actually a relatively highly diluted CryoFuze 7, which is also recommended for beginners and inexperienced users because it is very easy to apply. The measured values of around 3.5 W/m-K are perfectly acceptable for this paste and place it in the solid middle class. However, the long-term durability should be lower than that of the first two pastes, as it contains a relatively large amount of silicone oil. But this is far from criminal. The Thermal Hero Quantum was much worse.
4th place – Cooler Master CryoFuze 5 Violet / Purple
This paste is a clear no-buy recommendation in the current batch. Apart from the poor bulk thermal conductivity of just over 2.6 W/m-K, it is so unstably mixed and low-filled that it is unlikely to last very long. Even if the color is certainly a nice marketing gimmick, it doesn’t help with cooling either. Rather the opposite. And there’s not that much left in the tear-off picture.
Conclusion
Looking at the entire portfolio, I would recommend the Cooler Master MasterGel Maker, which can still be processed normally, or the slightly more viscous (and better) CryoFuze 7. Beginners are better off using the Cooler Master MasterGel Pro V2 for quick success. The CryoFuze 5 Violet, on the other hand, is a liquid soup that bleeds out and is pumped out faster than you can say pug. That brings us to the end of the story.
However, I would like to take this opportunity to reiterate my request for more pastes, pads and putties, as there can never be enough to choose from or stock up on. However, please discuss these things in advance via PN to avoid duplicates!
