Cooler Master CryoFuze 7
This paste is relatively “grainy”, but can still be spread reasonably well. The compromise between handling and performance is quite good.
However, you can see from the islands that the paste does not flow very well and you should at least pay close attention to a homogeneous surface without cracks when applying it. But this is a general feature of highly filled pastes. You just need to know it.
The somewhat coarser grinding grades of some particles are certainly also due to the performance and you can certainly do this if there are enough smaller particles for the gaps. And they are.
Cooler Master CryoFuze 5 Violet
No, this is not raspberry ice cream, but colorful thermal compound. But even in the small resolution we can see the rather cream-like consistency of the paste. It’s easy to spread, but that’s about it.
Under magnification, you can already see the shiny binder. Yes, it is a real beginner’s paste, but durable looks different.
The particles are very finely ground this time, but there is far too much silicone in between. Spreadable butterfat from the purple cow. CryoFuze Milka Edition.
Cooler Master MasterGel Maker V2
The paste is slightly more spreadable than the CryoFuze 7 and also offers more “shine”. Under the microscope, it looks like a CryoFuze 7 that is not quite as highly filled, i.e. like a kind of CryoFuze Light with a little more silicone oil.
Magnification also confirms this finding, as it melts a little more, but without appearing slimy. It smells very much like a compromise in terms of manufacturing costs.
The particle sizes are similarly different to those of the CryoFuze 7, but the gaps are also more loosely filled (as they are smaller).
Cooler Master MasterGel Pro V2
Now we come to the supposed budget paste in the portfolio, which nevertheless easily outperforms the CryoFuze 5 Violet. The MasterGel Pro V2 is also rather creamy and it is not filled too high. Nevertheless, there is still more than with the CryoFuze 5 Violet.
More granulation instead of just sour cream. This is exactly why the MasterGel Pro V2 will also perform better. In my opinion, it is the real beginner’s paste in the quartet, while the CryoFuze 5 Violet actually failed completely.
You can recognize the sometimes very large particles even without real magnification, but also more silicone and not quite as consistent gap filling. While the MasterGel Maker was the light version of the CryoFuze, the MasterGel Pro V2 is the ultra-light version.
