Prices for the Ryzen 9000 series known

The AMD Ryzen 9000 series is currently the subject of much discussion. There are not only the first benchmark leaks, but also a postponement of the official launch, which is causing discussion. However, one aspect seems certain: the prices of the new processor series. At least that’s what the leaks from X user momomo_US say.

Observers and customers are eagerly awaiting the new release date of the Ryzen 99xx series, which has now been postponed to August 15. The reason for the delay is quality standards which, according to AMD, are not yet completely satisfactory. In the meantime, however, prices have emerged from various retailers. Although AMD has not yet officially confirmed them, they are considered very likely.

The AMD Ryzen 5 9600X is expected to cost 279.90 dollars. The Ryzen 7 9700X will be priced at 399.90 dollars, while the Ryzen 9 9900X will be priced at 449.00 dollars. The top model, the Ryzen 9 9950X, is expected to cost 599.00 dollars. The prices for the updated 5900XT and 5800XT models have also been announced: The former is listed for $349.00 and the latter for $249.00.

If you still need a little refresher on everything, that’s no problem at all. The new processors are based on AMD’s Zen 5 architecture, which promises a performance increase of 16% per clock (IPC). The Ryzen 5 9600X has 6 cores and 12 threads with a maximum boost of 5.4 GHz and a TDP of 65 W. The Ryzen 7 9700X offers 8 cores and 16 threads with a boost of up to 5.5 GHz, also at 65 W TDP. The Ryzen 9 9900X has 12 cores and 24 threads, a boost of 5.6 GHz and a TDP of 120 W. The top model, the Ryzen 9 9950X, comes with 16 cores, 32 threads, a boost of 5.7 GHz and a TDP of 170 W.

The Ryzen 9 5900XT now has 16 cores and 32 threads, compared to the previous model with 12 cores and 24 threads. The maximum boost remains at 4.8 GHz, the total cache capacity at 72 MB and the TDP at 105 W. The Ryzen 7 5800XT retains its 8 cores and 16 threads, with a TDP of 105 W as well, but the boost clock has been increased slightly to 4.8 GHz.
