Let’s take a closer look at the specific details to see if the mini PC is really convincing. The new mini PC uses Intel’s latest “Meteor Lake” processor, and you can choose between Intel Core Ultra 9 185H or Intel Core Ultra 7 155H. The integrated graphics unit also comes from Intel and is an Intel Arc; optional NVIDIA RTX 4060 or RTX 4070 GPUs are available for an extra charge. The RAM can be expanded up to 96 GB DDR5-5200. For memory-hungry users, there are up to 3 M.2 2280 SSD slots for a total of 24 TB. That’s a decent amount to use if you need a lot of performance and/or a lot of hard disk space.
In terms of connections, the NUC 14 Performance “Scorpion Canyon” offers 1x Thunderbolt 4, 1x HDMI 2.1, 2x DisplayPort 1.4a, 4x USB3.2 Type-A and 2x USB2.0 Type-A. A 330W power supply unit provides the power supply, as a lot of power also needs a lot. For Aaron Rowsell, Founder & President of Simply NUC, this mini PC is a major milestone for his company and a good choice for customers.
“Introducing the NUC 14 Performance is a significant milestone for us. This product family ushers in advanced AI capabilities and top-tier graphics in computing power. With unmatched performance, AI-readiness, and a sleek tool-less design, the NUC 14 Performance sets a new standard for compact workstations.”
The price starts at 1,899 dollars with the lowest configuration that can be offered: An Intel Core Ultra 7 155H with Intel Arc Graphics, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 and 8GB of DDR5 memory. The hard disk space is 256 GB M.2 PCIe SSD. The variant with Intel Core Ultra 9 185H and GeForce RTX 4070 costs at least 2,299 dollars. The remaining specifications remain the same. However, it should also be noted that the Mini-PC can be configured to your own taste and you are not limited to pre-configured Mini-PCs.
