Conclusion

Now we come to the conclusion. If you’ve followed the article closely, you’ll probably have already gathered that the TC500 was very well received by the testers overall. Corsair has done a lot right with this chair in terms of the choice of components and features. The fabric cover in particular was found to be extremely pleasant and comfortable by all testers because it feels softer and warmer than the frequently used PU leather imitation. And even though the chair has clearly been optimized with comfort in mind, ergonomics have not been neglected, which is reflected in the excellent lumbar support, which can be a blessing if you have a slight “hollow back”.

Let’s talk briefly about the construction and the target customers of the TC500. In view of the thickness of the material, I have no doubts that the chair can withstand the maximum permitted load capacity of 120 kg without showing premature signs of fatigue. At just over 110 kg, I’m already close to the maximum weight and I didn’t get the impression that the chair was particularly impressed by this. Even when I was leaning back and “lounging”, nothing wobbled or rattled. Thanks to the generous width, even a colossus like me can sit comfortably cross-legged(!) on the TC500. You should perhaps keep this in mind, because as a slim person, you might even feel a little lost on this chair.

In terms of price, Corsair has positioned the TC500 in the upper mid-range, which ultimately places it slightly above the established models from Maxnomic, Noble Chairs, SecretLab and others with comparable features. Of course, it is up to the potential buyer to decide for themselves whether the great look and the really successful fabric cover are worth the price. The fact is that the TC500 only showed one weakness in the test and that was the unfortunate positioning of the armrests, which all three testers noticed negatively. I am curious to see whether they will improve this in the future, or whether a kind of “upgrade kit” will be added, because I can imagine that these armrests will not find many fans.

“The chair was provided by CORSAIR for this test. The only condition was compliance with the embargo period, there was no influence or compensation.”
