Summary and conclusion
Although the CPU temperature was always in the good range in my stress tests, the results in the benchmarks fluctuate between “as expected” and “slightly worse”. Click here for an overview of the overall comparison:

I suspect that a throttling of the power target in the background during long test runs is limiting the performance somewhat. Incidentally, a full scan with Windows Defender of the pre-installed operating system did not reveal any unwanted software. Perhaps it has already been boiled off, because even in desktop mode the M.2 SSD already reports temperatures above 60°C.

At the time of publication, you end up with a final price of 249 euros, slightly more expensive than the other N95/N97/N100 systems from past reviews. However, these are of course not passively cooled, and such a special design is not only reflected in the material price. You can probably get over the side connections if you are part of the target group. But who is that actually? The Z100-0dB would certainly do well as a computer for CNC machines in a dusty workshop; after all, the housing is also claimed to be antistatic. But with a surface temperature of 60.1°C under load, it could also keep the coffee warm on your desk at home!
