Scan sequence – part 2
However, I decided to simply carry out a third scan with as many overlapping areas as possible to the two previous scans.
With this additional data, even the automatic merging worked perfectly.
But then I still had a small hole on the side, crap!
But everything else looks very good, so I’ll just quickly scan part of the page and then continue with the underside.
But unfortunately, from this point on, my path with the Ferret Pro took a direction that would not change until the end. Because suddenly nothing worked at all, despite the scanner being connected, there was no more image.
So I switched everything off again, disconnected it, reconnected it and switched it on again. After all, that always helps! And lo and behold, the strange error was rectified and we can continue with the underside.
The result was neat again and joining the parts together also worked.
But what is it? Back in the overview, the model is suddenly missing and the list on the left is also suddenly empty.
Again very strange, but we already know the supposed solution. Once everything was switched off, disconnected, connected and switched on again later … nothing. My model remains missing. I can see from the size of the project file that it can’t be empty, but it still looks like this in the program.
