Console defective and now? The first attempt
If the right Joy-Con no longer wants to play, then playing on such a console is of course virtually no longer possible. But it’s nice to have customer service. And so on 29.03.2024 the first contact was made with Nintendo Service (online). The support team suspected that the right Joy-Con was defective because it could no longer be paired. Just 10 minutes later, we received the repair number with a shipping label by e-mail. So far, so exemplary and the customer was pleasantly surprised for the time being.
A few days later, it was now 05.04.2024, Nintendo got in touch and confirmed that the repair service had received the return. After another 3 days, they confirmed the start of the “repair” and another day later they informed us that the “repair” had been completed and the part sent in was ready for dispatch. There was also a nice PDF by e-mail:

On 11.04.2024, another 2 days later, the parcel from Nintendo arrived back at the customer and, full of anticipation from the children, the presumably repaired Joy-Con was plugged into the console. However, with the sobering realization that it still could not be paired with the console. From this moment on, however, it was also clear that either the Joy-Con had not been repaired or something on the console must be faulty. Nintendo customer service was contacted by telephone on the same day.
After expressing the misconduct, the customer was then politely asked to start a new RMA online (with the same error pattern as before). And the repair number with shipping label was also sent by e-mail on the same day. The customer quickly obtained another Nintendo Switch from an acquaintance as a counter-test and first looked for the defective part himself using the exclusion procedure, better safe than sorry. And so, to be on the safe side, the presumably defective right Joy-Con was tried out on another Nintendo Switch. That worked like a charm.
The customer then tested another, functioning right Joy-Con on their own Nintendo Switch. No pairing possible. Conclusion of Home Support: The console is defective (self-diagnosis). On the same day, the console was sent to Nintendo Customer Service, where it arrived on 17.04.2024. And we now waited with bated breath to see what would happen (or not).
