Benchmarks – OC
If we look at the diagrams with the manually overclocked configurations, the kit sorts itself a little further back. Unfortunately, as already mentioned, no more clock than DDR5-7800 is possible and the timings can’t be tightened as much with the SK Hynix 24 Gbit M-Die as with some other kits. The Dominator Titantium modules are by no means slow, especially for their 2 x 24 GB capacity. But if you don’t need more than 32 GB, kits with 16 Gbit ICs are the better choice in terms of performance. You should also bear in mind that 7800 Mbps with these 24 GB modules can only be operated stably on the Z790 Apex, while 16 GB modules can also achieve the same clock rate on the inexpensive 4-DIMM Z790 Hero – at least with my CPU.
For the sake of clarity, the manufacturer and product names of the RAM kits have been abbreviated as follows:
- CDTR: Corsair Dominator Titanium RGB
- CDPR: Corsair Dominator Platinum RGB
- TGDR: Teamgroup DELTA RGB
- CVR: Corsair Vengeance RGB
- CV: Corsair Vengeance
- GSTZ5R: G.Skill Trident Z5 RGB
