Fan curve and operating noise (“volume”) in context
Let’s now move on to what is automatically generated when the waste heat is dissipated: various fan noises. As always, the measurements in the measurement chamber are a bit tricky, because you can’t measure anything through the closed side window. That’s why I switched off the case fans and set the AiO to the absolute minimum. Then they are drowned out by the noise of the two Radeons^. Normally I do this with a silent system in the chamber, but I didn’t want to deprive you of the coil whirring during gaming or the generally very different approaches to fan control.
You can see the fan diagram and directly below it the respective measurement of the final value after 15 minutes of warming in the Torture and Gaming loops. First the stress test:

We can now see several pronounced areas above 5 KHz, which can be assigned to the coil beeping during fast load changes. As a result, the card is even slightly louder overall than in the stress test.
