Even though the predecessor was not tested by us, we will not miss the newest member of the “Pure Loop” series. The manufacturer promises a better control via PWM of the decoupled pump and equips this complete water cooling with the new Pure Wings 3 high-speed fans.
Packaging and scope of delivery
The mostly black cardboard box already gives a good indication that the lighting here has been significantly reduced compared to the older Pure Loop 2 FX. The large product picture on the front confirms this assumption right away.
On the back, we are then informed about some core aspects of this AIO and can also read the specifications on the side.
Inside, we can expect the usual switch made of rough cardboard, which is supposed to protect the contents during transport. By the way, the small viewing window so that the product name can be read is very important!
The accessories include the usual mounting material, but also a few cable ties, 3 fan splitters and even a bottle of coolant. But don’t worry: It’s only meant as a replacement, should you ever need to refill it. Nevertheless, the Pure Loop 2 is already filled ex works.
Assembly and installation
With the modern AMD sockets, the existing backplate is reused and supplemented on the front with four screws, four spacers and two threaded brackets.
After thermal paste has been applied, the cooler base only needs to be fixed in place with two integrated screws before wiring can begin.
Specifications
Here is the overview of the technical details for the different versions of this watercooling, more information can be found on the product page at the manufacturer.
