Instead of Microsoft adding something as simple as a file open or browse button to manually load drivers at this point (which is also possible in the setup when partitioning), they let the user desperately fish in the mud. I also know from a PC service friend of mine that a not insignificant part of his income is generated from idiocy like this. But what’s the next step here and now?
Do you still know the old Windows context menu? You should. At least the key combination Shift F10. And what happens in a window where there is no context menu? Correct, in this case the command prompt opens: Command line FTW! And now it gets funny…
You can now download the appropriate drivers from the manufacturer and unpack them to a stick. But without a second PC this won’t work either. Tip: Name the directories in your own interest (command line!) as short as possible, that saves work. And don’t forget one thing: the current chipset drivers should also be included and above all should be installed first! I created a driver directory on the stick and extracted the EXE of the chipset driver there and executed it by command.
