Operation
In terms of operation, the many different models from SoundPeats hardly differ. Both earbuds have a touch sensor and can be operated by touch patterns.
The controls work flawlessly, but it takes a bit of practice to hit the narrow back of the Earbuds accurately. Audible feedback is given during operation, and a short announcement is even played for some actions.
Comfort
The Life Classic can also score here. Due to the narrow shape, the Earbuds sit excellently in the ear and do not constantly fall out of the ear, even for people with a narrow ear canal. Three pairs of silicone attachments in different shapes or sizes are included for customization.
Whether you’re walking, cycling or jogging, as long as you don’t sweat excessively, the Life Classics fit absolutely securely.
Sound Check
I have already tested two models from SoundPeats with the T3 and the Air3, and so far there was a clear line to recognize. The Life Classic also leaves no doubt about the close technical relationship between the different models. The little beasts can “level” properly and produce a deep bass that makes all (!) gaming headsets I have tested so far sink into the ground in shame. Bass junkies will definitely get their money’s worth here. For me, there is a bit of a lack of clarity and resolution in the high-frequency range, but overall, the SoundPeats come off surprisingly well here. The title of the article is not as lurid as it seems at first glance – the small cheap devices really outperform many more expensive devices without mercy!
For movies and videos, the game mode should be activated urgently, otherwise the sound is not quite synchronized with the lip movements of the actors. Why this mode is not active by default, I can not understand. I could not see any drawbacks from enabling this mode.
Mic Check
Of course, the test of the microphone should not be missing, although I would rather call it a “function test” in this case. Of course, the earbuds are suitable for making calls, but the quality is rather sobering.
You can understand the voice, but you can’t expect more here. However, if you look at the size and price of the microphone and compare the sound quality with that of much more expensive gaming headsets, the ratio doesn’t look that bad.
