Topology and teardown
The differences with the 1100W model are minimal, as the 1300W unit can only deliver full power with 230VAC input. The heatsinks are large to effectively dissipate heat and the main transformer is quite small thanks to its unique design. The build quality is high, and top-notch components are used, including Infineon FETs and Japanese capacitors from TDK, Rubycon and Chemi-Con. On the primary side, we encounter a full-bridge topology capable of handling the full power of the device without dramatic impact. An LLC resonant converter is also used to increase efficiency. On the secondary side we find a synchronous rectification for 12 V and a pair of DC-DC converters for the auxiliary lines.
