Color-Performance and Brightness Comparison
With the shown “out of the box” performance in terms of sRGB color space as well as the necessary white point of 6500K – the Corsair Xeneon Flex ranks at the golden end of the food chain. Not too bad for a gaming monitor. And only a few monitors can score directly here.
Brightness
The maximum brightness in SDR @D65 (APL 100 %) is 138 nits. Corsair specifies 142 nits, so this basically fits and can be booked under the topic of measurement difference. In the end, this difference results from the different measurement tools and the test conditions (lab vs. my office).
The min. brightness is also impressive, if you know what I mean. 🙂
Gray Scale
Saturation
ColorChecker
As always, the only real weakness of an OLED panel reveals itself in terms of brightness in SDR at 100 percent window size. The LCD panels can do that much better. My personal opinion on this: for me, the approx. 140 nits are easily enough, especially because it is a gaming/video consumption monitor.
