Conclusion
I am a bit surprised that CORSAIR equips the KATAR ELITE with the fat Marksman sensor. In my opinion, this boosts the small mid-range mouse into the spheres of the best gaming mice on the market, because the MARKSMAN is undoubtedly one of the best sensors that can currently be installed. Thus, the KATAR ELITE ends up using the same basic technical framework as the SABRE RGB PRO and the M65 RGB ULTRA – the top dogs in Corsair’s wireless lineup – and thus practically cannibalizes its own products.
Personally, the shape definitely addressed to claw and fingertip players does not quite suit me, which is why the technically identical but differently shaped SABRE remains on my work table. If you use the Claw or Fingertip grip technology and are looking for a lightweight wireless mouse without bells and whistles, but with one of the best sensors available for the money (26,000 DPI, 650 IPS, 2,000Hz), you will surely be happy with the KATAR ELITE.
In any case, there is nothing technically wrong with the mouse – on the contrary, it is a big step forward compared to the 2-year-old predecessor. And in fact, they are even positioned in a price range that is not really above the competition. You can do it, Corsair!
