Conclusion
After I mentioned all the negative points in the review, the conclusion might be a bit surprising. But if you take a closer look, my criticism primarily concerns the lighting, which shouldn’t matter at all for many of our readers. The second point of criticism concerns the switches, which I had selected myself, although the entire range of Cherry MX switches is available.
Other than that, the ONE 3 is an excellent keyboard and a nice evolution of its predecessor, which has been on my desk by far the longest of all the keyboards I’ve tested in recent years and will now move to my desk. Solid workmanship, well thought-out functions and overall simply a well-rounded product. It’s just a pleasure to write with.
The ONE 3, like its predecessor, is an excellent choice for nerds. DIP switches, tons of key combinations, crazy colors and almost limitless customization through interchangeable switches – hardly any wishes remain unfulfilled. At least not with me. The 209.90 Euro RRP is still a bit sour, but in times where you already have to pay over 3 Euros for a piece of butter, the long-term factor is at least given here. You can certainly be happy without butter, but without a proper keyboard?
