Upscaling in my favorite resolution – if it’s not enough for the 240 Hz – how much quality do you lose?
Now we start analogously in reverse. The start is made by the test run room! Again, in the focus I show you the comparison worst to best case. Let’s do it!
1440p native vs. DLSS vs. FSR 2.0 (quality)
I would say DLSS and FSR 2.0 are on par here (applies specifically to this scene). Both provide a better result than the native resolution from my point of view!
1440p native vs. DLSS vs. FSR 2.0 (performance)
DLSS has an easy game here with FSR 2.0. Less shimmer on the workbench (note: if you back off the sharpening slider, the shimmer is gone). But not only the shimmer is noticeable, DLSS can also show the details better! AI and Deep Learning network with 16K based details to reconstruction thanks!
DLSS vs. FSR 2.0 vs. FSR 1.0 (quality)
As I said in my articles on FSR 1.0 and RSR: in 1440p you can definitely recommend the first level of upscaling, and possibly the second. In the end, it all depends on the title and remains, as always, a matter of taste!
DLSS vs. FSR 2.0 vs. FSR 1.0 (performance)
As already in 2160p, FSR 2.0 – especially in the performance stage in 1440p – is by far better than FSR 1.0. However, it is not yet enough for DLSS. FSR 1.0 Performance cannot be recommended in 1440p and certainly not in 1080p. Those who need that to play 1440p/1080p should urgently buy another GPU! Yes, the prices – I know, although it has improved significantly!
Let’s leave the scene and get some fresh air.
1440p native vs. DLSS vs. FSR 2.0 (quality)
Except for the one exception (shown by me with the mouse in the video), FSR 2.0 is very close to DLSS… If it were not for the small difference! In principle, however, both upscaling methods deliver a better picture than 1440p native. If you really look closely here, you can’t deny it!
1440p native vs. DLSS vs. FSR 2.0 (performance)
Pictures say more than 1000 words – DLSS wins! There is no need to discuss…
DLSS vs. FSR 2.0 vs. FSR 1.0 (quality)
How superior temporal upscaling can be!
DLSS vs. FSR 2.0 vs. FSR 1.0 (performance)
FSR 1.0 – without words! Let’s take a look at a few more pictures instead.

FSR 2.0 vs. DLSS vs. FSR 1.0 (quality)
FSR 2.0 vs. DLSS vs. FSR 1.0 (performance)
The pictures are self-explanatory. In the end, everyone is the architect of his own fortune. FSR 2.0 is an improvement and does not have to hide! And because it was so nice, I’ll show you the 1080p resolution very briefly, although I find it almost sad (no offense intended) if you really need the level performance here to get to playable frame rates.
